The 1953 BUILD PAGE: To be completed
  Gary's First Build...

Not really, this was something he long wanted to do, so after racing was finished and we hung up the circle track for a better day...he found an F100 project in Washington PA. and made the purchase. It took two years to complete and a lot of miles finding the best parts. The effort paid off in a big way.

This is the most recent picture (8/14/11) I have. Gary and Amanda were blessed with a little girl; they named her Haley and that has been priority for the last 3 years...mine too!! Today the truck is parked in "his" garage along side his '55 Fairlane.

The F100 we built together hosts a "bad ass" 351 Ford Cleveland (Gary built the engine) tied into a Mazda "5 speed" standard. The rear end is a nine inch Ford from a 73 Cougar. OEM stock frame has been boxed and a tubular cross section added under the cab for over-all stability.  The front suspension is solid axle leaf spring, disc brakes and a Toyota steering box with side delivery. The back half is dual leaf springs with radius arms to hold everything under the bed. The exhaust is a pair of three inch Thrush "Cherry Bombs" collecting the "hot air" from a set of three inch "custom" headers.

The HOT ROD CAM This is the shop camera...Haley may be on the "dance cam"...
